Our academic programs are based on an interdisciplinary, holistic, and team-oriented pedagogical approach. They promote critical thinking, ethical reflection, and collaborative learning.<\/strong> Students are encouraged to analyze complex social realities by integrating perspectives from social sciences, public health, environmental studies, and cultural analysis.<\/p>

From an intercultural perspective, Western paradigms of development, modernity, and progress are critically analyzed alongside Indigenous, Afro-Ecuadorian, and mestizo worldviews. This dialogue of knowledge enables students to understand the structural contradictions of development models implemented in Ecuador and Latin America, situating them within the broader global economic, social, political, environmental, and cultural crisis.<\/span><\/p>

Fundaci\u00f3n Cimas fosters a learning community that brings together students, faculty, grassroots organizations, and various social actors. Through active participation in community projects, internships, and academic residencies, participants engage directly with local communities and their cultural contexts. These immersive experiences not only deepen academic learning and social engagement but also strengthen intercultural competence and Spanish language proficiency.<\/p>

      ACAD\u00c9MICO Enfoque de nuestros programas Nuestros programas acad\u00e9micos se basan en un enfoque pedag\u00f3gico interdisciplinario, hol\u00edstico y de trabajo en equipo que promueve el pensamiento cr\u00edtico, la reflexi\u00f3n \u00e9tica y el aprendizaje colaborativo. Se alienta a los estudiantes a analizar realidades sociales complejas integrando perspectivas de las ciencias sociales, la salud p\u00fablica, los estudios ambientales y el an\u00e1lisis cultural. Desde una perspectiva intercultural, los paradigmas occidentales de desarrollo, modernidad y progreso son analizados cr\u00edticamente junto con las cosmovisiones ind\u00edgenas, afroecuatorianas y mestizas. Este di\u00e1logo de saberes permite a los estudiantes comprender las contradicciones estructurales de los modelos de desarrollo implementados en Ecuador y Am\u00e9rica Latina, situ\u00e1ndolos dentro de la m\u00e1s amplia crisis econ\u00f3mica, social, pol\u00edtica, ambiental y cultural a nivel mundial. Fundaci\u00f3n Cimas cultiva una comunidad de aprendizaje que re\u00fane a estudiantes, docentes, organizaciones de base y diversos actores sociales. A trav\u00e9s de la participaci\u00f3n activa en proyectos comunitarios, pasant\u00edas y residencias acad\u00e9micas, los participantes se vinculan directamente con las comunidades locales y sus contextos culturales. Estas experiencias inmersivas no solo profundizan el aprendizaje acad\u00e9mico y el compromiso social, sino que tambi\u00e9n fortalecen la competencia intercultural y el dominio del idioma espa\u00f1ol.
